There’s a claim in the Italian media that Crystal Palace are showing an interest in La Spezia forward David Okereke.
The 21 year old has impressed for the Serie B side this season, which has brought him to the attention of the Eagles.
TMW today reports Crystal Palace are ‘tracking’ the young forward and were present at La Spezia’s league clash with Brescia yesterday. Okereke reportedly put in a decent display for the Italian club, scoring a goal in the 4-4 draw.
However, it’s reported the English side will face competition to sign the young forward after it was revealed Standard Liege also sent a scout to Sunday’s game.
It’s unlikely either Crystal Palace or Standard Liege will come in for the player in this window but he may be an option in the summer.
Okereke has scored six goals this season for La Spezia and provided 8 assists.
The youngster is contracted to the Ligurian club until June 2022.
