Crystal Palace are one of the clubs in the picture to sign Eintracht Frankfurt’s Tuta this summer, according to a report from Brazil.
The centre-back rose through the ranks of São Paulo’s academy and spent a year with their first team before leaving them for the German club in 2019.
He started playing regularly after Oliver Glasner took over at Eintracht Frankfurt in July 2021. The manager was at the club until the summer of 2023 and joined Crystal Palace in February 2024.
Tuta played 44 games last season, operating mainly in the heart of defence and at times as a midfielder. UOL state he has caught the attention of Crystal Palace, Real Betis and Fenerbahçe.
Both the La Liga club and José Mourinho’s side have held talks over signing the 25-year-old. Real Betis seem to be finding it difficult to match Eintracht Frankfurt’s request, which UOL haven’t mentioned.
These two clubs have to be wary about the Eagles, who have joined the battle for Tuta’s signature. Glasner’s connection could help Crystal Palace beat competition to secure his services.
The Brazilian’s contract expires in 2026, and Eintracht Frankfurt are trying to renew it. His contract situation could force the Bundesliga club to sell him for an affordable price to avoid losing Tuta for free next summer.
