Even though Flamengo seem very close to signing Gabriel Barbosa from Inter Milan on a permanent move, the player is still letting other clubs dream of getting him.
The striker is having a fantastic loan spell at the Brazilian side, and that hasn’t gone unnoticed in Europe, where the likes of Crystal Palace and Schalke 04 reportedly made approaches to sign him.
That’s why Flamengo are in a hurry to negotiate with Inter Milan. And according to club vice president Marcos Braz, there’s a deal for the permanent transfer.
“Flamengo have already got things right with Inter, have already made the proposal to Gabriel and he will know if he wants to play at Flamengo in 2020 or not.”
But according to Jorge Nicola, from Yahoo, the player is waiting to see if there are other offers. It’s said he doesn’t hide his wish to play in Europe again.
“Gabriel wants to preserve that moment of decision and will not comment on renewal before the decisive game against River Plate,” a source close to the player told Jorge Nicola.
Not along ago, the approaches from Crystal Palace and Schalke 04 had also been confirmed by people close to the striker, according to Nicola.
It’s said Gabigol is waiting for an offer from a ‘good club’ who can give him a starting spot in the team.
