River Plate star Rafael Santos Borré is once again linked to Crystal Palace this week.
This time the report comes from Diario del Cauca, who covers claims from ESPN and adds a few extra bits about the chase for the player.
They start saying that, according to ESPN, Crystal Palace have selected Santos Borré as a possible signing for the next season.
Then it’s claimed that a deal for the striker would cost around €30m, since that’s the amount of the release clause agreed in the player’s latest contract with River Plate.
Diario del Cauca says that Monterrey are interested in the 23-year-old as well, but his preference would be to make the move to the Premier League.
Meanwhile, River Plate don’t deny they’ve been receiving offers, and are waiting for a formal bid to be made in the next few weeks.
At the end of March, we spoke to Santos Borré’s agent, who despite not talking about Crystal Palace, confirmed European interest in the player.
