Crystal Palace and Stoke City are reportedly in the race for Porto midfielder Sérgio Oliveira.
According to Tutto Mercato Web, the two Premier League clubs are on a list of interested sides that includes Palermo and Cagliari as well.
Oliveira is far from being a star at Porto, having made 18 appearances last season and only two in the current one so far.
Therefore the 24-year-old could only have attracted Europe’s attention by playing for Porto’s B team. He couldn’t even be found at the national team, where he was only called up for the youth levels.
Oliveira grew in Porto’s academy, from where he was loaned to clubs such as KV Mechelen, Penafiel and Paços Ferreira. He made a permanent move to the latter in 2014, but ended up being signed back by the Dragons in 2015.
The player is currently valued by Transfermarkt at €2.5m. His contract with Porto runs until 2020.
