According to claims in the Turkish media, Crystal Palace sent a scout to the game between Beskitas and FC Porto on Tuesday night.

The Premier League side have been linked with Beskitas star Cenk Tosun in recent months, and it’s expected they’ll table an offer for the player in the next window.

Fanatik say Crystal Palace travelled to Istanbul this week to watch the Champions League clash, and were joined by fellow English sides, including Manchester City, Norwich City, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur.

It seems very likely Crystal Palace were watching Tosun, as they’ve done previously this season, and the Eagles will have been impressed by the Turkey international.

The 26 year old has been key in Besiktas reaching the knockout stage of the Champions League, and again he played his part by setting up Talisca in his side’s 1-1 draw.

Last month we covered reports Crystal Palace were lining up January bid for Tosun after failing to sign the forward in the last window. The London side should expect to face competition from fellow Premier League side Newcastle United.
