Yohan Cabaye has been speaking to French newspaper L’Equipe ahead of Swansea’s visit to Selhurst Park.
The Frenchman signed for Crystal Palace last summer to reunite with former boss Alan Pardew, and following his sacking and the appointment of Sam Allardyce, it was a good time to speak to the player.
Asked if he’d rather spend time on the bench at a club like Paris-Saint Germain or play regularly for a smaller club like Crystal Palace, Cabaye insists he is happy at the London club.
He said: “It’s better to be on the pitch, but when we do not win a lot of matches, it’s a little difficult.
“We must hang on and try to change the situation. But I’m happy here. I could have more fun through the results, but it is a wonderful Championship.”
Cabaye also added he is hoping Allardyce will bring some stability to the club, and feels he has the experience to help them climb the table.
He added: “This is the first time in my career that this has happened. He has his ideas, he has experience, so I hope he will bring us stability and confidence so that we quickly look a little higher.”
Cabaye, 30 years of age, has 18 months left on his current deal at Crystal Palace, and has made 18 appearances this season. There have been sporadic rumours over the player’s future but for now he seems happy where he is.
