The list of strikers linked with a move to Crystal Palace over the January window continues to grow.
Khouma Babacar and Eder were the two recurring names this month, but the likes of Cenk Tosun (now at Everton) and Karl Toko-Ekambi were also suggested as targets for the Eagles.
Well, the latest to be added to that list is Bordeaux’s Gaetan Laborde, as FootMercato in France explain Roy Hodgson and co. are likely to make a move before the end of the month.
According to the French website, two Crystal Palace scouts were present at the weekend to watch Gus Poyet’s new side beat Lyon 3-1, a game in which the 23-year-old striker scored a penalty.
Seemingly impressed by what they saw, the London side are now said to be ‘very seriously thinking’ about coming forward with a bid in the ‘coming hours’ to bring Laborde to Selhurst Park.
While he isn’t the most prolific striker (two goals in nine league games so far this season), this isn’t the first time the Bordeaux forward has been linked with a move to the Premier League, with both Arsenal and Liverpool showing some interest last summer.
