On Tuesday, we covered a report reiterating Crystal Palace’s interest in Juventus’ Matias Soulé, who is currently on loan at Frosinone.
The gist was that the Serie A side, in need of funds ahead of the January transfer window, were open to selling the young Argentine for the right fee.
Corriere dello Sport continue that idea on Wednesday, and explain that Crystal Palace are now ‘ready to make a super offer’ for the 20-year-old.
It all comes via an intermediary, who is said to have ‘offered’ the opportunity of selling Soulé to the Eagles for €35m, ‘even now’.
The fact Crystal Palace are ready to pay that much is a testament to how impressive the youngster has been on loan, with six goals in 14 appearances for Frosinone, and the money brought in from his sale would allow Juventus to buy someone like Teun Koopmeiners.
In need of new midfielders, the Serie A club have set their sights on the Dutchman, and they are ready to ‘do as much as possible’ to get him in January rather than next summer.
That requires money, and the sale of Soulé to Crystal Palace would go a very long way to achieving that.
First, though, they need to see the money, which the Eagles are seemingly ready to put on the table in the coming weeks.
