Crystal Palace goalkeeper Vicente Guaita could be heading out of the club this summer, according to claims from Spain.

Outlet Marca writes that the 36-year-old is ‘willing to open the door’ for a return to his home country.

It’s claimed that even though Guaita’s contract with Crystal Palace has one more year, he’s ready to listen to offers that arrive.

His former club Getafe are said to have ‘sounded loudest’, as he has very good friends there and could rencounter manager José Bordalás.

Guaita, however, ‘values’ other options on the table. And it turns out he could even stay in England, as there are two unnamed Premier League sides interested in him as well.

So it seems like the player would have to choose between returning to his country or spending a couple of more years elsewhere.

Guaita made 28 appearances for Crystal Palace this season. He was mostly a starter until April, when Sam Johnstone started being the club’s first choice.

That situation could definitely encourage him to seek another club, and the role he’ll be offered will surely have an impact on his choice.
