On December 29th, we carried a report from Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws, who claimed Michy Batshuayi was offered to Crystal Palace.

The Eagles initially found the striker’s profile interesting, but later changed their mind.

Roy Hodgson wanted to bring in Dominic Solanke to Selhurst Park on a loan deal in the winter market, but the deal is now off, according to BBC.

The 21-year-old has not featured for the Reds this season and was struggling with muscle problems recently. His fitness concerns forced the Premier League side to call off the deal.

Another Belgian newspaper Het Belang van Limburg now claims that Palace’s decision to end their interest has seen them shift their focus towards Batshuyai as they have him ‘in mind’.

He is currently on loan at Valencia from Chelsea and the La Liga outfit are trying to cut short his temporary spell so that he can return to his parent club this month.

However, the report mentions the Belgian international’s entourage’s intention is to continue with Los Che until the end of the season, even though he has struggled so far this season.
