Crystal Palace’s Odsonne Édouard has told Téléfoot that he maintains dreams of returning to Paris Saint-Germain in the future.
The 25-year-old never made an appearance for the Ligue 1 side’s first team after spending five years in their youth system. PSG sent him out on loan to Toulouse and Celtic before his move to Celtic Park was made permanent in 2018.
Speaking to Téléfoot, relayed by RMC Sport, the Crystal Palace star was honest when talking about of his hopes of representing the Paris club at some stage in his career.
“I have always kept this link with PSG. When I started football, my dream was to play for PSG, and to score at the Parc des Princes… Why not one day?” he said.
The Premier League side signed the frontman from the Scottish club in 2021 and he has featured regularly for them, making 76 appearances so far. He’s started this season on a bright note by scoring five goals in eight games.
Édouard remains hopeful that he can continue his good run for Crystal Palace in order to fulfil another dream, of representing France. He has played for France U17s to U21s but hasn’t yet received a call up from the senior team.
“It’s something big. Playing for the France A team is one of my goals,” Édouard explained.
The Eagles attacker was born in French Guiana and that makes him eligible to represent them on the international stage.
