After scouting so many games from the Portuguese league this season, it’s no big surprise that Crystal Palace would follow the national team as well.

As reported by newspaper O Jogo today, the London side had officials at Estádio da Luz watching Portugal’s match against Serbia last night.

Since Palace have not been linked to any Portuguese or Serbian players lately and O Jogo can’t say who their targets were, we can only point out those who did well in the 1-1 draw.

Some players like Bernardo Silva and Dusan Tadic had a great performance, but it’s fair to say it’s unlikely Crystal Palace could sign any of the top performers in the summer.

Left-back Rafael Guerreiro had probably his best game for the national team, and midfielder Danilo, who missed the World Cup due to an injury, scored a beautiful goal to even the score.

Serbian goalkeeper Marko Dmitrović didn’t have a chance against Danilo’s effort, but still had a good overall performance.

There’s a good chance this scouting mission will lead to Aleksandar Mitrović links. Transfer rumours are building around the Fulham player, and we all know how these things work.
