Oliver Glasner has invited four of his former bosses to Saturday’s FA Cup Final against Manchester City, as thanks for helping to be where he is.

That’s according to journalist Peter Linden, who reports that the Crystal Palace manager has invited former associates to watch the game at Wembley.

Crystal Palace take on Manchester City in the FA Cup final tomorrow after a superb run to the final under Glasner’s leadership.

The Austrian coach has helped his side overcome a difficult start to the season to guide Crystal Palace to mid-table security and the FA Cup final, where they will have a chance of winning the first major piece of silverware in the club’s history.

It’s a continuation of the fine work Glasner has done at Crystal Palace since his arrival and a career that’s gone from strength to strength after starting as sports director at RB Salzburg in 2012.

Linden reports that Glasner hasn’t forgotten the people who helped him to get where he is now and among the 40,000 Crystal Palace fans at Wembley will be his wife Bettina, daughter Alina and sons Julian and Niklas.

The board members of Austria Vienna will also be in attendance, Jürgen Werner and Harald Zagiczek as Glasner’s guests.

The Crystal Palace manager has not forgotten that Werner ‘decisively influenced’ his coaching career when he took him to LASK in 2015 after a year as manager at SV Ried. He even handed him a four-year deal when they failed to get promoted to the Bundesliga.

They’ll now be at Wembley on Saturday to watch the Crystal Palace manager, who clearly hasn’t forgotten his path to the big occasion.
