Crystal Palace have seen a bid for youngster Matías Soulé rejected this month, with the Italian side uninterested in selling the rising star.
That’s according to agent Massimo Brambati, who has confirmed that Crystal Palace turned their interest into an official bid for the player.
Soulé has been impressing in Italy while on loan with Frosinone this season, with nine goals and one assist in 19 games in Serie A so far.
That has earned him plenty of attention, particularly from the Premier League, where Crystal Palace have continually been credited with an interest in him over the last few months.
Numerous reports made it clear that they were considering a move but none of those ever had them going beyond the interest stage into a full, serious bid to sign the 20-year-old.
Brambati says that did happen at some point, though, but unfortunately Juventus were uninterested in accepting.
“For Soulè came an offer from Crystal Palace and Juve said no”, TMW report him saying on TMW Radio.
It now remains to be seen if Crystal Palace revive their interest before the end of the window after that rejection.
There’s no denying that Roy Hodgson could do with new signings this month for the second half of the season and arrivals could also help to relieve some of the pressure currently growing from the fanbase.
It seems they’d need to up their offer for Soulè, though, as Juventus aren’t interested in losing him quite just yet, as they would also have to sort out some sort deal with Frosinone as well.
