Earlier today there were various claims that Ismaila Sarr had agreed personal terms to join Crystal Palace. That came after reports from France that the Eagles were moving for the Marseille player and determined to sign him this summer.

Santi Aouna, who had been first with the story initially, dismissed these reports. Whilst negotiations were continuing and there wasn’t thought to be the prospect of it being an issue, Aouna made it clear that those terms weren’t yet finalised.

Now he comes back and echoes other claims of Crystal Palace making a €12m offer to Marseille, which has seen more serious negotiations open between the two clubs.

Regarding those personal terms, it’s still not finalised but the player has given his approval to the move. Crystal Palace are ‘negotiating final terms’ on a contract for Sarr which will run until June 2029.

This one looks like it’s only a matter of time before it goes through and Oliver Glasner has another summer recruit.
