Crystal Palace are ‘determined’ to sign Ismaïla Sarr from Marseille this summer and have already ‘decided to take action’ on that front.

That’s according to Foot Mercato, who say that Crystal Palace have ‘made a first offer’ to the player to try and work out a contract agreement with him.

They report that the first offer presented to the player and his camp was immediately met with a counteroffer and the two parties are now working on finding common ground upon which to move forwards.

At the same time, initial conversations between Crystal Palace and Marseille have been started so that the winger can return to the Premier League this summer.

FM insist that no agreement is in place on any front at this moment in time, countering reports from England that have stated Sarr has already reached an agreement with Crystal Palace over a contract.

The big question is how much Marseille will demand in terms of a transfer fee, with the French club determined to bring in money to continue their summer of rebuilding for new manager Roberto de Zerbi.

Crystal Palace have the funds for deals after selling Michael Olise to Bayern Munich but will be determined to ensure they get a fair price.
