In the past week, we’ve been seeing a few stories from Italy pointing out West Ham United as a potential destination for Napoli star Hirving Lozano, as the Hammers have reportedly been in talks for the 26-year-old.
It turns out that today a new Premier League side is added to the race for the winger. The information comes from Area Napoli, and says Crystal Palace are in the picture for him as well.
It’s claimed that Lozano, who recently switched agents, has the desire to move to English football. And the new agency who represents him not only has a good relationship with West Ham, but with the Selhurst Park side too.
That’s likely why these claims are appearing.
The outlet says Crystal Palace, along with the Hammers, made ‘an exploratory survey’ to know the possibilities of a summer move.
The situation, however, is said to be complicated. Firstly, because Napoli demand €20m, which both the Eagles and West Ham don’t seem eager to pay, and then there’s his €4.5m salary in Italy, a figure which is likely to be after tax.
Area Napoli says ‘unless a very tempting proposal’ that ‘can shake the president’ arrives, Lozano is set to stay at the club for one more season. Now they wait to see if Crystal Palace or the Hammers will arrive with a convincing bid.
