Crystal Palace are reportedly the latest side to join the race for Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma.

The information comes from Telefoot journalist Julien Maynard, who in an update today, details the situation of the 26-year-old.

It’s claimed that Crystal Palace have now made contact about the Chelsea player, even though it isn’t detailed if there was any outcome from this approach.

The Stamford Bridge side, however, are trying to include Zouma in a deal with Sevilla as they work to lower the price of Jules Kounde. This possibility isn’t very advanced yet, because the defender is yet to speak to the Spanish side, who’d actually have difficulties affording his salary.

So it looks like Crystal Palace now joined a long list of clubs who are interested in Zouma this summer. Maynard had already reported that the likes of Everton, Tottenham, Roma and Wolverhampton Wanderers were all in the race for the Frenchman.

Today, he adds that Spurs are ‘a track that also remains relevant’.
