Crystal Palace are interested in signing RB Leipzig’s Ilaix Moriba this summer, according to Foot Mercato.

The midfielder arrived at the Bundesliga side from Barcelona last summer and managed to make only two league appearances in the first half of last season. In need of more game time, he joined Valencia on a loan deal in the January window.

Despite the struggles at Leipzig, where he has a contract until 2026, Moriba has managed to receive interest from Palace.

It’s claimed the Premier League side would ‘indeed be interested in the idea of offering’ the Guinea international a new home. There is no clarity whether the Eagles are looking to buy the 19-year-old or take him on a loan deal.

Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira has already contacted the player to ‘try to convince him’ to join the English club this summer.

Should Domenico Tedesco not include Moriba in his plans at Leipzig this season, the latter could look for a move away from the German club, at least on a loan deal. In that event, Vieira could try to convince the midfielder to make a move to Selhurst Park.
