Premier League side Crystal Palace are reportedly one of the clubs who are interested in Mallorca right-back Joan Sastre.
According to Spanish newspaper Marca today, the London club have been regularly sending scouts to watch the 20-year-old, and are on of a list of sides who could take him in the summer window.
Along with Crystal Palace, the likes of Atletico Madrid are also keeping an eye on the youngster, so we could expect a good battle for him.
Marca claims that the player has a release clause of between €3m and €5m, depending on Mallorca’s final position in the league.
Even though the amount seems pretty low, the Spanish club would still be available to negotiate that price, which perhaps shows how much Spanish lower league sides are trodden all over.
Mallorca are currently playing in the Segunda División B, which is the Spanish third division, so the big clubs like Atletico would also be waiting for the player to prove himself at a higher level.
It’s an interesting option for Crystal Palace, and shows their scouting scratches more than the surface.
