Crystal Palace are one of three clubs in the picture to sign Atlético Madrid’s Ángel Correa.
The forward managed 11 goals and three assists from 47 games in all competitions last season but his game time has been limited in this campaign. To put it in context, he’s clocked in 373 minutes from 13 league games and over 200 minutes from four Champions League matches.
Correa’s situation at the La Liga side has seen Crystal Palace, Juventus and Fiorentina all take notice.
That’s at least what Tutto Juve are reporting, and their title says: ‘Ángel Correa, more Crystal Palace than anything’, indicating the Eagles are ahead in the transfer race. Within the report, it’s claimed Oliver Glasner’s side are ‘favourite to sign’ the Argentine.
It’s not made clear whether the Premier League side and the Serie A duo are looking at the attacker for January or next summer. Due to his limited game time at Atlético, Crystal Palace can offer him an escape route in the winter market.
Correa’s deal lasts until 2026, and the report makes no mention of whether he or Diego Simeone’s side are willing to do business with Crystal Palace.
