Galatasaray’s search for a right back has received a blow after claims by NtvSpor their first choice target Kenny Tete is being tracked by Crystal Palace.

De Boer is aware of what the Ajax player could bring to his Crystal Palace squad, following his spell as the coach of the Amsterdam club. Tete broke into Ajax’s first team during the Crystal Palace manager’s time with the Dutch giants.

Galatasaray have been chasing Tete for almost a month, and they were very close to securing his signature. However, with Crystal Palace now joining the race to sign the defender it makes things more complicated for the Turkish giants.

Tete only has a year left on his current Ajax contract, so his transfer fee shouldn’t be a problem for either Crystal Palace or Galatasaray.

Despite Crystal Palace’s interest in the young right back, Galatasaray will still have some hope they can land their target and there’s every chance the De Boer links are just assumption and the work of the rumour mill.

The 21-year old has also been linked with a move to Lyon.
