Crystal Palace have identified Clermont Foot’s Habib Keïta as a target for January.
That’s according to Africa Foot, who make it clear this is their own information about the 22-year-old.
The midfielder initially joined the French club in July 2023 and played 27 Ligue 1 games last season. Clermont were relegated to the second division, and the Malian has featured regularly [12 matches] this season.
Crystal Palace are looking to bolster their midfield in the next window and the Clermont player is included in their target list.
His performances have seen several clubs take notice and Crystal Palace are mentioned. It’s claimed Keïta ‘attracts interest’ from the Eagles, who are ‘considering submitting an offer’ for him, likely in the winter market.
The report makes no mention of the fee the Premier League side are considering tabling to secure his services.
In the summer window, RC Lens showed interest in the midfielder. He was valued at €3m, but the operation was cancelled by the Ligue 1 side’s owner.
Keïta’s contract lasts until 2026 and Transfermarkt values him at €1m. Crystal Palace may have to offer higher than that to sign him in January.
