Strasbourg midfielder Junior Mwanga is a potential target for Crystal Palace this summer after impressing on loan at Le Havre.

That’s according to Africa Foot, who cover the 22-year-old today and say Crystal Palace are one of his potential suitors.

They explain that after joining Le Havre on loan in the January transfer window, Mwanga has taken a step forward in his career.

He impressed at the French club in the second half of the season and that has attracted interest from several clubs, inside and outside of Ligue 1.

Lens are particularly keen on him and have inquired about his situation. Discussions are underway about a potential transfer, but, thanks to his performances and a €6m valuation, they face competition from Marseille and Crystal Palace.

Oliver Glasner’s side are expected to be busy this summer, particularly if they are allowed into the Europa League. Their mandate in recent years has been to target younger players to develop and Mwanga would fit the bill.

For now, it appears they have just shown an interest and nothing more, but he could be a name to keep an eye on, if he doesn’t end up at Lens first.
