Crystal Palace will have a chance of securing manager Oliver Glasner should they look to hire him as Roy Hodgson’s replacement in future.

That’s at least according to SportBILD, who say a move to the Premier League ‘appeals’ to the 49-year-old if the offer is right.

Reports in England have made it clear that Glasner is in the mix of candidates being looked at by Crystal Palace as they consider him a replacement for Hodgson.

The veteran manager has found himself under increasing pressure over the last few months as Crystal Palace have struggled to pick up points and edged closer to the relegation zone.

Those in charge at Selhurst Park appear to be toying with the idea of a change and Glasner is one of the names on the list according to reports.

SportBILD cover him today as part of a look at several managers currently out of work and explain that since leaving Eintracht Frankfurt last summer he’s been enjoying life and recharging his batteries ahead of his next job.

The Austrian hasn’t set a date for a return and is making that ‘entirely dependent on the offer’. He declined a financially lucrative offer from Al-Shabab in August and interest from Nottingham Forest also didn’t come to anything.

Crucially, though, ‘England generally appeals to him’, meaning Crystal Palace would very much be in with a chance of securing his signature if they made the right offer to him.

Whether they do remains to be seen but the option is certainly open to them if they do decide to move on from Hodgson.
