L’Equipe have another update in their Saturday edition on the future of Steve Mandana.

Well, we say update, but the French newspaper make it clear nothing is really happening. That’s because both Crystal Palace and Marseille are locked into their transfer positions, and have no intention of changing their stance soon.

Marseille have already spoken to Mandanda, and Crystal Palace are well aware the player would like to return to France, and to a club where he was a true hero, and captain.

Meanwhile, Marseille’s Yohann Pelé knows the club are keen to replace him with Mandanda, and everyone just has to wait.

L’Equipe says both Crystal Palace and Marseille are ‘camping’ in their position, refusing to give up ground to the other side.

Whether Crystal Palace’s asking price is €5m or €8m, reported differently in France, Marseille insist they won’t match it, and if everything stays as it is, Mandanda will start the season at Selhurst Park.
