According to a report in the Italian media, Crystal Palace and Brighton and Hove Albion are showing an interest in Bologna forward Mattia Destro.
Destro could leave the Serie A side in the next window, following his troubles with Bologna coach Roberto Donadoni, and his poor scoring record this season (one league goal in nine games).
TMW have claimed Crystal Palace and Brighton could look to sign Destro when the transfer window opens in January. Bologna are growing frustrated with the Italian forward’s lack of goals, and the two clubs could move in on him in the new year.
Serie A sides Sassuolo, Torino and Verona have all been linked with Destro, along with the two Premier League clubs.
It’s been revealed Bologna will be looking for a transfer fee in the region of €5m for any club interested in signing the former Italy international, despite the Italian side signing the player from AS Roma for €8.5m plus bonuses in 2015.
Both Crystal Palace and Brighton could be looking to bolster their attacking options in January, but it’s unlikely his scoring record is going to excite either set of fans.
