Josip Vukovic is receiving a surprising amount of transfer interest at the moment.

The 26 year old midfielder is on the seventh club of his career, Maritimo, and if only half the recent claims are correct… he’s a very wanted man.

Over the past month or so, Chelsea, Wolves, Leicester City, Watford, Rangers, Villarreal, Sporting and Benfica have all been linked with the Croatian.

Now Calciomercato say Lazio are keen, and following the player. It’s stated Vukovic is also ‘attracting the interest’ of Aston Villa and Rangers.

Something doesn’t quite feel right with this one, and the player is clearly being pushed to the market.

Calciomercato believe Maritimo would sell the defensive midfielder for €900k-€1m, which is a fee reachable for Aston Villa and all the other clubs mentioned. It’s previously been stated he’d cost £4m.

There’s plenty of time for a whole host of other clubs, from every level of football, to be linked with him before the summer market.
