Frank de Boer’s exit from Crystal Palace has kicked off the Premier League sacking game this season, and Slaven Bilic is wobbling very much on the edge at West Ham.
It’s actually Bilic’s West Ham who are bottom of the Premier League, thanks to a worse goal difference than Crystal Palace.
A difficult start to the season, as West Ham had to play away from home due to athletics taking place at the London Stadium, has put the club into crisis mode. Again.
In September 2016, Croatian newspaper 24Sata reported how Bilic was ‘completely lost’ at West Ham. 24Sata explained West Ham’s ‘euphoria has been replaced by depression’, and the ‘magic that was found in the Boleyn Ground, Slaven Bilic definitely hasn’t brought to the new Olympic Stadium’.
The manager’s future was said to be under question then, and it’s the same situation once again.
24Sata now report that it’s ‘fact’ Bilic has ‘never been closer’ to a West Ham exit, and the importance of Monday’s match against Huddersfield Town is played up.
Failure to win could result in Bilic very quickly joining De Boer on this season’s Premier League scrapheap.
