Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Patrick Cutrone has insisted he is trying to secure himself a permanent move to Valencia if he can get it.
Cutrone is currently on loan with the Spanish side until the end of the season, having joined them to get the regular playing time that isn’t on offer at Molineux.
The Italian striker returned to Wolves from a loan spell with Fiorentina in January and looked like he would be given his chance to impress in the absence of Raul Jimenez.
However, it quickly became apparent he was not part of their plans and the arrival of Willian Jose from Real Sociedad later in the window only further confirmed as much.
Thus, he headed out to Valencia instead, with them in need of reinforcement upfront and offering the first-team place and regular football that he craves.
He’s yet to get going in La Liga but insists his goal is to impress and secure himself a permanent exit from Wolves in the process.
“Of course, it’s my objective,” he told AS.
“I want to do well on the pitch to stay, that’s what I want. As soon as I heard about the interest, I said yes. Nuno also spoke to me very well about the club.
“I know the importance of Valencia, its history. For different reasons I changed teams several times.
“I want to give back to Valencia the confidence they gave me, to earn my continuity. I am happy. I will give everything to stay here.”
