As we’ve been covering in the past few weeks, the Colombian press has been really excited for Yerry Mina’s debut in the Premier League with Everton.
The local media has been covering every step the defender makes for the Toffees, and has stories every time Marco Silva has the chance to include him in the matchday squad.
Mina was with the team at Old Trafford last weekend, and even though he couldn’t enter the game, there’s a subject that is big news in Colombia today.
What happened is that Mina was spotted talking to José Mourinho before the match. The TV cameras have quickly shown it, and even though the British media didn’t give it a lot of attention, things went down differently in South America.

Big outlets such as ESPN and RCN continue wondering what the chat was about, always pointing out that Mina was much linked to a Manchester United move during the last summer window.
Now we won’t be surprised to see Mina being asked about this once he plays for the national team next month, and all this Colombian mystery should soon be over.
