Newcastle United continue to be interested in Victor Osimhen after reportedly failing in their efforts for the Napoli star in January.
The Magpies are set to be in the picture for the forward in the summer if various reports coming out of Italy are to be believed.
Eddie Howe’s side are now joined by Tottenham Hotspur as the latter have made it to the list of suitors, according to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, relayed by Area Napoli.
Spurs are looking at the 23-year-old mainly because of Antonio Conte. The ex-Chelsea manager ‘really likes’ the Nigeria international and ‘wants’ him at the north London club, especially if Harry Kane were to leave the Premier League side.
It’s claimed the Naples club ‘could falter’ in the next window, if Tottenham or another club were to make an ‘important offer’ for Osimhen.
Kane was keen on joining Manchester City last summer, but Tottenham refused to let him leave. Reports in the UK have talked about the possibility of him leaving Spurs after this season.
It’s not made clear whether Conte wants Osimhen to replace the England international or if he still wants the ex-Lille star, even if Kane were to continue in London.
