Basaksehir star Cengiz Under has been receiving attention from the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Freiburg and Lille in recent weeks, according to Turkish claims, and Chelsea are the latest club to show an interest in the Altınordu academy product.

HaberTurk have claimed Chelsea have offered €7.5m for Under, but Basaksehir president Goksel Gumusdag has insisted they are only willing to sell the winger for €12m.

It’s also reported Freiburg and Lille have made official offers for the youngster, but like with Chelsea’s, Basaksehir rejected these bids.

Basaksehir manager Abdullah Avci this month said they were expecting a bid from Tottenham ahead of the summer window, even though he wanted the youngster to remain in Turkey. The Tottenham claims came out of the blue, and were maybe a marketing effort rather than genuine expectation, but Avci clearly thought otherwise.

There have been claims Tottenham had tabled a bid for Under, but this wasn’t confirmed by his club. Chelsea interest will almost certainly be on a club level rather than being driven by Antonio Conte, which would suggest, if a move came off, the 19 year old would be loaned out.
