Following a few months of silence regarding Tottenham Hotspur’s chase for Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie, the rumour is brought back by the Italian media today.
Gazzetta dello Sport are the ones talking about the 23-year-old, pointing out the Old Lady may receive interesting offers from abroad for the player this summer.
Tottenham are named as one of the contenders, as it’s said that Fabio Paratici, who was the one who brought McKennie to Juve in first place, could now work on the signing.
The director’s idea would be to ‘satisfy’ manager Antonio Conte, as the Spurs boss made an ‘explicit request’ to land the midfielder in the next transfer window.
Gazzetta points out that McKennie has a place in Massimiliano Allegri’s team, as he had been a regular starter before his metatarsal injury which took him out for the last few months.
That means the Old Lady are not expected to be willing to sell him, so Tottenham will need good arguments to get the signing done this summer.
