Inter Milan are in the market for a player to support Marcelo Brozovic in their midfield. Someone who could provide cover for the Croatian, and perhaps sometimes play alongside him.

That’s seen the Serie A club turn their attention to Leandro Paredes, report Calciomercato. The 27-year-old’s PSG contract lasts until June 2023, so this summer means decision time on his future.

An exit is thought to be likelier than a renewal at this time, and several clubs are keen. Tottenham Hotspur have been linked multiple times and, according to the report, Antonio Conte ‘would gladly welcome him’ in the summer window.

Calciomercato believe PSG want around €25m, but they also say Inter Milan CEO Giuseppe Marotta has good relations with Leonardo at the French club, so the price could drop to €20m.

It’s unlikely PSG will simply hand out a €5m discount because Leonardo gets on well with Marotta.

Tottenham and Conte look to have a reasonable chance of success if they move for Paredes, however, right now he just looks like one of a number of possibilities for Spurs in the market.
