German international Antonio Rudiger was reportedly a transfer target for Chelsea during the summer transfer window, and reports in Italy suggest the Premier League side still retain interest in signing him.
According to a latest report on Italian website Leggo, Chelsea, in recent days, had increased the pressure on Rudiger to sign for them in January, but the 23-year-old has said ‘no’ to Antonio Conte.
AS Roma are also reportedly keen on keeping him, and wouldn’t be interested in a €25m offer.
However, it’s reported the player could consider his options next summer, and it’d be interesting to see if Chelsea are willing to wait, or whether they’ll move on to other alternatives.
The German has recently returned from a cruciate ligament injury that kept him out at the start of the season.
Rudiger spent the last season on loan at AS Roma from VfB Stuttgart, before making the move permanent this summer.
