With the idea that William Saliba could return to Arsenal for next season, there has been talk of Gabriel Magalhaes being a target for Juventus.
The Serie A side will need to replace Giorgio Chiellini, and the Brazilian appears top of the Serie A side’s list for that.
Why Arsenal would sell him isn’t clear, but the belief is Juventus are pushing for a transfer, as explained in Thursday’s edition of Corriere dello Sport.
The idea in all this would be for the Gunners to get some money and Arthur from the deal, and ‘contacts have started’ with the London side to that effect.
It’s stated Gabriel ‘has become the first choice for Juventus’, who also have the aim of ‘finding the right slot to facilitate’ the midfielder’s move to the Emirates.
However, that’s ‘easier said than to do a swap’, as Arsenal are said to value their centre-back at almost €50m and are trying to ‘lower the valuation of the Juventus midfielder’.
Still, ‘there is dialogue’ and the belief is all parties involved will ‘refresh’ the matter going forward.
