It doesn’t matter who says what at Arsenal or on the player’s side, the belief is that Jorginho could be on the move in the coming days.

That’s what reports in Turkey are pushing on Monday, as a claim from journalist Sercan Dikme for Sports Digitale reveals that the Italy international’s agents have ‘recommended’ him to Besiktas for a January transfer.

Not only that, but the Süper Lig side’s view on a possible move is ‘positive’, meaning that if they can strike a deal with Arsenal, they would be open to welcoming the midfielder.

Besiktas have gone a step further now, as well, since ‘first contact took place’ regarding a move, although with whom that was isn’t stated.

Despite paying €11.3m to sign him from Chelsea, Arsenal have never really used Jorginho all that much under Mikel Arteta.

An example of this is his meagre time on the pitch in the Premier League, spreading his 403 minutes over 12 appearances, of which only four have been starts.

He has one goal and one assist in 20 appearances in all competitions, but will be wanting to play much more in the second half of the campaign as he bids to make Luciano Spalletti’s squad for Italy in the upcoming Euros.
