Southampton are facing the possibility of losing multiple players following relegation, and two of them could end up in Serie A.
Gazzetta dello Sport report midfielder Mateus Fernandes is emerging as an intriguing idea for Juventus, who are keen on improving their midfield.
The Portuguese youngster is represented by Jorge Mendes and the super agent already has a client in Francisco Conceiçao at Juventus. His involvement can be key in a deal with Southampton, with a loan deal being eyed for Fernandes.
That seems overly optimistic from Juve’s side, with Southampton surely looking for a permanent exit and the money associated with that.
In the meantime, Atalanta are keeping an eye on Kamaldeen Sulemana, according to Gianluca di Marzio.
They have already made contact for the Ghanaian, who is emerging as a key target for the Bergamo club. Di Marzio reports that so far, only Sulemana’s entourage has been contacted and there is yet to be contact with Southampton.
Atalanta will be playing in the Champions League next season and that is why they could prove to be an attractive option for the player.
