With Leeds United in a perhaps surprisingly precarious position in the Premier League this season, Andrea Radrizzani did something he really didn’t want to, and that was replace Marcelo Bielsa.

The Argentine manager had become a cult hero at Elland Road after managing to get the club promoted back to the Premier League and enjoying a successful first season back in the elite, but things just didn’t click this time around, leading to him being sacked and Jesse Marsch coming in.

The American has struggled to turn the form around, but two wins in the last two games suggest Leeds are heading in the right direction, with the Whites now seven points clear of 18th placed Watford.

In the meantime, Bielsa will be either considering retirement or looking for a new job, with offers starting to arrive on his doorstep.

We know this because the president of Bolivia’s FA has admitted that they’ve reached out to the manager after his Leeds exit to see if he would be interested.

Fernando Costa said in a press conference, relayed by RedGol: “We are in contact, I’m not going to deny that we are having some line of contact with the manager. We still haven’t talked to him, but we are close to doing so.”

RedGol state the offer ‘is still in its infancy’, and the former Leeds man isn’t the only manager Bolivia are talking to, although he does appear to be top of their list.

Costa added: “We want to give him all the support. We know that Bolivia has a lot of talent and that going to a World Cup isn’t that far away.”
