There’s still growing confidence in Turkey that Samir Nasri will join Besiktas despite the Frenchman enjoying a 15-minute cameo during Manchester City’s 3-1 victory over West Ham 3-1 yesterday.
Fotomaç believe Guardiola played Nasri today to increase his value and added Joe Hart, a player certain to leave, started against Steaua Bucharest last Wednesday, so subsequently that his involvement in the West Ham game indicates nothing about Nasri staying at City.
Milliyet and TRTSpor claim Besiktas are waiting on Pep’s decision about him, but once Sane and Gundogan return to side, Nasri knows his chances will be further limited. It’s also been reported that Besiktas president Fikret Orman is waiting and even has a private jet on standby in England in order to fly over the former Arsenal star, and complete the deal.
Despite this confidence in the Turkish media, Besiktas fans have become more and more worried about a deal being done. They have every right to worry as Narsi was supposed to be fly to Istanbul last week to complete the move, but the media in Turkey obviously see things differently.
What is clear is Nasri seriously considering his future and it’s up to him, considering Besiktas have already agreed everything with City. He’ll decide on his future before the window closes meaning the Besiktas fans are waiting anxiously.
