Earlier this week, we talked to the agent of Valencia’s Fran Villalba, who revealed that Manchester United had made initial talks to sign the player.
The youngster has a release clause of only €4m, and that’s why the Spanish club didn’t wait too long to respond.
According to Super Deporte, Valencia have invited the player’s entourage so they can negotiate a new contract for him. The club want to raise his salary and extend the deal, besides, of course, changing the release clause.
Villalba would be eager to sign a new contract, but only if Valencia show him a good sporting project. The 18-year-old hasn’t played for the senior team since last season, when Gary Neville was still the club manager. Neville had a lot of faith in the player and Villalba wants such a situation to return.
Super Deporte claims that the player’s future should be decided soon. And in case he doesn’t renew his contract, this release clause is more than affordable for a club like Manchester United.
