Earlier this week, it was revealed by Yahoo! Sport journalist Manu Lonjon that Manchester United were taking an interest in Club Brugge’s Emmanuel Dennis.

There wasn’t a lot of information in the tweet other than a scout had been present to watch the player score a nice back heel against KV Mechelen in a 3-1 win at the weekend, and that the 22-year-old fit Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans of revamping his squad with more young talent.

Foot Mercato on Wednesday, however, add a bit more detail in an article confirming Lonjon’s information.

The French website explain that source have told them Manchester United are indeed after the Nigeria international, and have joined other Premier League sides, like Leicester and Southampton, in the queue.

Not only that, but ‘first discussions’ have already taken place between English clubs and Dennis’ agent towards a possible transfer.

While that might be the case, Club Brugge will not make it easy for their forward to leave, knowing full well the talent currently at their disposal, with an asking price of around €30m for a player who has three years left on his contract in Belgium.

Not exactly a huge amount for Manchester United, but we all know how reluctant they can be when it comes to spending if they aren’t 100% sure he’s the right man for them.
