As things stand, Eduardo Macia is expected to be the next Girondins de Bordeaux director of football, as he prepares himself to leave his role as Head of Recruitment at Leicester City.

Before that happens, however, the Ligue 1 side need to change ownership, and that hasn’t happened yet as the American investors are still trying to pull together the funds required to buy their future asset.

There’s no panic going around Bordeaux, as the deal is expected to take place, and L’Equipe’s journalist Emery Taisne believes everything will be sorted by November 5th or 6th.

Furthermore, he also confirmed the information that Macia would be the club’s new director of football, first published by Le Journal du Dimanche.

If this is anything to go by, the Spaniard will probably switch allegiances soon after the takeover is complete, meaning in the next couple of weeks.

So far, there’s barely been any confirmation of this in England, with local newspapers simply relaying the reports being published in France.
