According to a report from Turkey, Fenerbahce defender Bright Osayi-Samuel has offers to return to the UK.
The former Queens Park Rangers man was linked with a move to England during the last transfer window and more recently Crystal Palace are said to have been in pursuit of the right back.
Nigerian journalist Victor Modo has spoken to Fanatik, and he’s told the Turkish media outlet that Fenerbahce are making attempts to convince Osayi-Samuel over a contract extension.
He says negotiations are ongoing between the Istanbul club and the player, but concrete offers have also come from the UK.
“In Osayi’s case, there is less than a year left on his contract and negotiations have started between the club and the player. I also know that there are concrete proposals to take Osayi back to the UK,” said the Nigerian journalist.
Only last week we covered reports from Turkey that Crystal Palace have their eye on the Nigeria international and at this stage it’s the Eagles who would look the likeliest contender.
With his contract set to expire next summer, Crystal Palace are looking to take advantage of his situation and can open talks over a pre-contract in the new year.
Wolves and Leeds United were also linked with 26-year-old this summer, but Jose Mourinho was keen to keep hold of him.
Osayi-Samuel started the season as Mourinho’s first choice right back, but injury has ruled him out for the past few weeks.
