Brighton & Hove Albion agreed a deal with FC Nürnberg for the transfer of Stefanos Tzimas at the end of the winter transfer market.
The 19-year-old was immediately loaned back to the German club for the rest of the current season. Since then, things haven’t been going very well for the young striker.
Tzimas has played 24 games so far this season, scoring an impressive 12 goals and adding three assists along the way.
However, he hasn’t played since March due to a muscle injury.
Brighton will of course have been keeping a close eye on his situation and they won’t like what’s happened this week.
The youngster returned to training on Tuesday, reports a regional edition of Bild. He completed that session and was then involved again on Wednesday.
After less than an hour he grabbed his left thigh and headed for the dressing room.
Given the move to Brighton and the apparent injury setback, Bild report it’s questionable whether he’ll play again this season.
