Jens Cajuste joined Ipswich Town from Napoli this summer, after a frustrating stint in Naples.
He arrived at the newly promoted Premier League side on loan with an obligation to buy which will be triggered if Ipswich stay in the top-flight.
So far, it doesn’t seem as if things have turned a corner for the Swedish midfielder, who only managed to get around 1000 minutes in Serie A for Napoli last season.
He’s played only 80 minutes in the Premier League season for the Tractor Boys and there is now concern in Italy about how things are shaping up for Cajuste.
AreaNapoli note that while Ipswich can buy the player permanently for about €12m, his journey has not taken off.
They look at how he wasn’t called up at all for the weekend game against Aston Villa and this decision by Kieran McKenna has created doubts.
The outlet also note that the midfielder did not show his true potential at Napoli, and there’s obviously a concern Ipswich Town could turn out the same way for him.
It’s not stated explicitly, but there will be worry Ipswich Town could try and get out of the expected purchase.
