Bayern Munich are not interested in Tottenham captain Heung Min-son and rumours linking him with a move are completely made up.
That’s according to journalist Christian Falk on the Bayern Insider podcast, with him completely dismissing the recent claims.
A report in Spain stated that Bayern were looking at the Tottenham star as a potential addition in the summer as they look to change up their forward line.
Son was seen as a potential replacement for Thomas Muller, who is set to bring his lifelong association with the German giants to an end this year. Bayern announced today that he would be departing.
There are also question marks about the futures of the likes of Leroy Sane and Serge Gnabry, who would also have to be replaced were they to depart this summer.
That saw them being linked with a move for Son, whose contract at Tottenham is set to expire next summer and could leave him as a potential cheap option to expand Vincent Kompany’s squad.
Falk insists that there is nothing going on in that regard, though, completely dismissing the suggestion out of hand.
“That’s not true,” he said when asked about the rumour.
“And I’d like to know if we’ve ever given Fichajes a true. So, this rumour is completely made up again, FC Bayern can’t afford it, FC Bayern doesn’t want to afford him.”
