On April 9th the Spanish website Don Balon reported that Yerry Mina really fancied a move to West Ham.

The Colombian defender has struggled since arriving at Barcelona and a loan exit this summer seems to make a lot of sense for all involved.

Girona and Villarreal were said to be keen but West Ham was the ‘offer he likes most’.

Fast forward to the present day and Don Balon have it differently.

Mina has done some thinking and now doesn’t want to move to the Hammers. Despite having an offer on the table from the English club, it’s stated the defender has now changed his mind and wants to stay in Spain, with the hope it could help him should he return to Barcelona.

Real Betis are presented as the favourite team right now, because of the club’s style of football and how it could ease him into La Liga and the right kind of play.

Unfortunately for West Ham, it’s not considered they play like Barca.

Mina to West Ham rumours started with The Sun and Don Balon, and rather than this really being the footballer turning down the Hammers, it may be more that the Spanish website have got bored of that idea and are moving on.
